The course begins on the Oak Creek Trailhead at the North Oak Creek Bridge in Valparaiso (about 2 blocks west of Hwy 79). The course consists of a crushed limestone trail which is wide and partially shaded. Miles will be marked at .5 for the 1 mile run/walk and at mile 1, 2, 2.5(turnaround point), 3, and 4 for the 5 mile run. The race will end in Valparaiso park where spectators cheer the runners through the finish line.
AWARDS
All race entrants will receive a classic Holiday Hustle T-shirt. Medals will be presented to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in the following age groups: 13-18, 19-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61 & over for the 5 mile run only.
PACKET PICK-UP
You may pick up your race packet on Friday, October 21, from 1pm to 4pm at the Valparaiso Elementary School. We strongly encourage you to come to packet pickup on Friday. There will be very limited race day registration and packet pickup Saturday morning.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION
Registration the day of the race does not guarantee a t-shirt. Therefore, pre-registration is highly encouraged.
PANCAKE FEED
Before and after the race there will be a pancake feed for all the runners and their families at the Valparaiso Elementary School. It's the ideal time to renew your acquaintances with area runners and to talk over the race.
AID STATION
Water and bananas will be available at the end of the race for all runners/walkers.
